There were a couple of Razer "clones". Pinzer, Tiberius, Mantis mk1, kraken, Chompalot. It's well possible that Hypno-disc beat one of those.
Razer had omniwheels wich were never that much of a problem for them, they used 12V motors on 24V quadrupling their power but at the price of either their speed controllers failing or the motors melting. After series 3 they got that under control and then they had a very long winning streak. 2x world champions, 1 time Extreme champion, 1 x European champion, 1 time UK champion. And more best design awards than you can shake a stick at.
