Okay you want the actual answer? There is rating on video games for a reason and parent should pay close attention to what children play when they are young, and not be afraid to make kids go outside and play. In short no video games are not bad for kids, but no one should be leeting kids under 10 play GTA or COD. That said many video games can shown to be good for kids are they often have indepth stories with complex characters, they force to use your hand eye coordination and problem solving skills.
None of that can be said for the bible despite the fact that it is easily as violent as GTA 5, yet people rarely say don't let kids read the bible. Tell me if violent protrayed by a imaginary character on a TV screen is harmful to kids, how much more so is it when the violence is not only protrayed but openly emdorsed and bragged about by something that your telling them is a perfect omnipotent deity that they should emulate?
