I'm conflicted. We are indeed in America, where most people do speak English. However, I am in southernmost Southern California, and we have a lot of Mexicans. Despite that, I am horrible at it, especially my pronunciation.

I guess it's just my own personal aesthetic. The most beautiful languages to my ear are Dutch, Swedish, Afrikaans, and English, which is actually quite useful worldwide.

I dunno.
