Poll: Is being silly, making jokes, and otherwise being 'happy' a good thing for this forum in your opinion?

1.) Jokes and general silliness are good in moderation, so long as they do not detract significantly from the original topic (make a joke and move on).
2.) Derailing topics entirely (for the sake of silliness) is a bad thing.
3.) I hate emoticons.
