That's the thing that really broke it for me too. There's so much wrong with the whole idea of Jesus getting nailed to the cross. From the immorality of killing an innocent person for the crimes of the guilty, to the ridiculous idea that Yahweh needed to have his son killed (then get brought back to rule at his side), to forgive us for something that someone else did before we were born. There is a long list of problems with this and it's the cornerstone of the christian religion.
