No spoilers, then....
Thus far, all the characters (the ones we get to hear their names, at least) that have died on the show are the same ones that died in the books... and at roughly the same time and event... with one honorable exception: Robb Stark's wife.
Since she's very much dead on the show, I won't be spoiling much, even so:
It is then reasonable to expect that the characters that die on the show will be the ones that die in the books, so it will not be show writer's fault that some character dies, but rather the source material - George R. R. Martin.
On a side note, pertaining this episode, I loved the expressions on the faces of the audience to the fight. Great acting there!
Sansa is all grown up now, thanks to uncle Petyr.
Jon Snow is still a boy... (he's supposed to be 16!)
Arya laughing was awesome!
Bran's story departs a bit from the books, but it's broadly the same... I've said enough about it on another thread, a few weeks ago.
Ser Jorah... I was under the impression that he was "dismissed" much earlier in the books (Qarth, maybe?)... maybe they wanted to keep the actor around.
These next two episodes should, if they feature what I expect them to, provide quite a few more plot twists! Stay tuned!
