Agreed, but on a side note...

I never did understand the expression a metric shit ton.
After all a ton is an English unit of measure, so how does the term metric relate? Additionally, why "shit" ton? A ton is a ton is a ton - so why the expression 'shit ton' ??


These are all rhetorical questions. No one need answer them. Just a curiosity to me.
