Esquilax, you seem like an educated person. I've read several of your posts and I think you're probably very smart.
Unfortunately, your knowledge may very well be your undoing. Which saddens me greatly.

And there it is, that smooth transition from ingratiating, cloying pleasantries to crude standover tactics and passive aggressive revenge fantasies. It's just gross, like I'm being sold a used car that doesn't even seem to exist.

As for your issues with my preaching, I am not violating any rules. If you would like to discuss with me, I'm happy to do so.

If it reaches critical mass, if it becomes a pattern, then it definitely does breach rule one. We used to have a preaching rule, but it was absorbed into rule one a while ago, and many of its premises are still found therein; if all you're going to do is tell us we're hellbound and should accept Jesus, that's not really in keeping with the purpose of the forum.

"Just have faith!" isn't an argument, and it's definitely not a discussion.

Shall we talk about your need to overcome all matters of faith with logic? Logic and reason are wonderful God given things, but they were not meant to keep you from your Creator.

As I said earlier, faith can be used to justify anything, making it useless. I've yet to be given an argument for why I should have faith in the christian god that doesn't presuppose the tenets of the christian faith are true.

Additionally, why would god give us logic and reason, only to ensure that following those two things, which are probably the most important tool we have in any other respect, lead us to believe that he doesn't exist?

God gave us logic and reason in order to grow our intelligence and succeed on this planet, not to undermine Him and destroy our own faith. Satan has a hand in that too. He's very clever and can use the logic and reason that God gave you to work against your beliefs. The two must remain separate.
