Dammit, why do I work night-shift? I miss all the good stuff. Anyway, I'm late to the party but here's my two cents:
Galileo Galilei once said, "I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with senses, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use and by some other means to give us knowledge which we can attain by them.". Now while I am more than dubious that a god created us, or indeed granted us our mental capabilities, I am convinced that the notion of completely throwing out evidence, and the cultivation of a world view based on said evidence, for a life based upon faith is both irresponsible and erroneous to say the least.
Your definition of belief is ridiculous, belief is outside the realm of choice. Belief is achieved by convincing arguments, and evidence. I do not believe that there are, in all likelihood, no deities because I like that conclusion over it's antithesis; I believe it because this is where the evidence has led. Desirability is not a requisite of the truth, EoG.
I would highly suggest a quick glance at a definition to atheism, because you seem to be functioning under the assumption that atheists actually believe in deities but just choose not to worship them. We aren't "reasoning" our way out of hell, or any such nonsense, and your pitiful attempts at scare tactics are nothing we haven't heard before.
The fact that you think you're in a position to tell anyone that their lives are meaningless is laughable, do fuck off now.
No. Been there, done that. After grueling self-introspection, and honest critical thinking I found that the "Jesus" bloke to whom I was praying was me all along. That's why he cared about the things I cared about, knew me so well, and forgave me at a moments notice.
Fantastic? Try delusional.
Or else, right?
Evidence shmevidence, eh? Yes, you seem like someone people should listen to.
Take your proselytizing elsewhere, I don't need an imaginary friend anymore.

That makes no sense. You just can't seem to get your small minds around the fact that if there was all this evidence you wouldn't need faith. That's the whole point- one must have faith.
The whole idea of believing in something comes from the understanding that there are some things that cannot always be explained. You cannot tell the all powerful creator of the universe that you'll give him your faith if he can first produce evidence. The first negates the need for the latter.
So stop trying to reason you way out of hell and just accept Jesus as your Savior and your God.
Why let your silly pride and your ridiculous ideas keep you in utter torment for all eternity?!
