Trust me, if you get blamed for anything around here it will be for trying to push a god on us, not for keeping God from us.
But please calm yourself. Take a breath. I can appreciate your original post in the sense it was probably intended. None of us have evidence for life's enduring mysteries. Everyone is entitled to their own speculation. Mutual respect as fellow travelers, each of us traversing this world for the first time, is to be preferred. How well we treat each other says more about how satisfied we feel with our own progress than it does about other people's failings.
So long as we can each accept the others' autonomy and right to choose his own way, you're okay with me. But Christians haven't traditionally been a very tolerant lot when it comes to the views of people which diverge from their own. Like their god, they tend to be a jealous lot. But I don't want to become that way myself. If you're good with god, carry on. I'm not against your god or your way, I just don't want it for myself. I'm good without god. Does that seem like something we can both embrace?
