Life after death?

As i have maintained in the past I have no idea how humans think that we are somehow "different" than any other living organism. When did we become so special in the animal kingdom. Our bodies are kept alive by ELECTRICITY! Once the brain ceases to accept and transmit electrical stimulus your "life" will be over. My Catholic wife cringes when I tell her that I don't want to be buried or cremated but to be placed in the woods (after my organs minus my liver are duly transferred to someone who will take better care of them) so that my body can provide nutrients to whatever might need it. I guess there is something comforting about knowing that instead of sitting preserved for centuries in a hermetically-sealed box millions of organisms can use whats left of my abused body to sustain them for whatever period of time. With that being said my favorite story is about an old lady in Kentucky who had her husband stuffed and put in a glass case by the front door so she could talk to him. What a trip.
