Why do you always give me the hard ones, Jenny? Life was so much easier before you showed up. Actually, most of your statements are subjective and it's really hard to pin down dates when you go back that far in history. All we have is tiny fragments from secular history and archaeology. As far as the flood stories go, the Jewish and Christian story may or may not have written later that some, but the flood spoken of took place at a much earlier date than the date of composition. Even it there are other stories from widespread areas of the world, it doesn't show the bible writers copied, but more likely there was an actual worldwide flood. I guess the readers can evaluate the evidence for themselves. As far as Item 5, I don't see that as a problem at all. The king didn't say he conquered Israel, but made successful conquests against them. I just see it as evidence of the existence of Israel during that time period and also the existence of King David.
