Don't they also say the emerged from the underworld?

The Pueblo Indians say that they emerged from a hole in the ground from a previous world. I don't think they would call it an underworld though. It was a place people had messed up. Some of them place the hole in the Grand Canyon. Their stories of their migration from there are supported by the archeological record.

Lots of different tribes lots of different legends.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god.  If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
