This is, for sure, a tough situation.
Were it me, I would suck it up until you get a job doing something you like. Seems like this, of all the patients you've been with, is pretty optimal. Is there any chance that the real reason this is so bothersome is that you dislike your job? Seems like that could be spilling over.
Is this time being active and participating in something good for your patient? Take the church part out of it. Isn't that your job? Are they requiring you to participate in the rituals while you're at church?
TGA, that old cliche about never working a day in your life if you love what you do rings true most of the time. Sometimes work is shitty for everyone. But if it is shitty every day, it's probably time to start planning to make a change, no?
