Let the record show that I still think you utilize what I would categorize as "self" to make most of your statements. Even if your theory of self is that there isn't really any there there, you still have a viable theory of self. Given what I think you believe it becomes interesting to understand the function of consciousness that provides (unbidden) a narrative to fit the many events of your organism into the tale of your 'self'.
