It definitely is, and this is a primary reason for science fiction (other than anything in SPAAAACE) being my favorite genre.
It probably will not be available on Netflix streaming for quite some time. It's available to rent for $3.99 on your digital platform of choice, and is quite worth that investment at the very least.
