You're not racist for reasons everyone's already stated above.
The hijab is not even a religious symbol or requirement within their own damn belief system. It's, as you say, an obstruction of human liberty.
It turns women into objects. Possessions... items... of dirty sex-crazed arrogant, controlling and power-mad men. And that is truly disgusting.
To hide your face is counter-intuitive to society and us interacting and communicating as a whole. We're a social species - we must appear to be as open, as transparent and as honest as possible with one another - we have to be able to identify each other!
We cannot function in the public place unless we know who we are talking to.
