Lol, yeah, I think I've actually seen that as an alternate preset system on Yahoo. Not sure.
For me, I'm puzzled that football is even called football. TDs are when you run the ball or catch it in the endzone, and are worth 6 points, with the privelege of a try for an extra point. A single extra point.
Kind of takes the foot out of football, in a sense. On a conlanging (constructed languagebuilding) board I belong to, we ponder other cultural things besides language as well. Somebody started a sports thread. As in, what would be the national sport of your constructed country? I have proposed something similar to NFL football, but TDs would just be one point, and give you that same priviledge to kick for extra points, but in this case, nine points would be available for this extra try. So, 1 (for the TD) + 9 (for the extra try from, say, 20 yards) = 10.
Not sure that my Yahoo league really follows that, because there are deductions for various mistakes, such as allowing large amounts of points, but in theory, I like my rules of football as above better than the NFL.
Looks like I failed to adjust the setting for publishing. Now, it's done (or so I think).
