Ever notice how there are no Atheist Archeology? Because everything in the past revolved around our gods who seeded us - and an Atheist can't get that concept through their thick Liberal head of theirs.
India and Hinduism have a long atheist history dating back to the 6th century BCE, most notably with the Cārvāka school, that was particularly atheistic materialistic.
The Buddha (6th century BCE) rejected the idea of a god.
Leucippus, and Democritus (fifth century BCE) Greeks were atheists.
Euripides (480–406 BCE) was most likely an atheist.
Aristophanes (448–380 BCE), known for his satirical style, said in his The Knights play: "Shrines! Shrines! Surely you don't believe in the gods. What's your argument? Where's your proof?
Prodicus of Ceos said "it was the things which were serviceable to human life that had been regarded as gods," and Protagoras stated at the beginning of a book that "With regard to the gods I am unable to say either that they exist or do not exist." Both in the 5th century BCE.
There are more, but I am sure I am just wasting my time.
You'd believe if you just opened your heart" is a terrible argument for religion. It's basically saying, "If you bias yourself enough, you can convince yourself that this is true." If religion were true, people wouldn't need faith to believe it -- it would be supported by good evidence.
