Try faking tells to throw people off. Generally, when people have good cards, they are more impatient, so fake that when you are bluffing (but not every time). Also, better hands are generally more memorable (at least pocket pairs are) and people with these hands check them less often. The reverse is normally true for flush or straight draws.

Which is why you should always check your cards on every street. Or never. Or randomly.
