There are two components to the impact of climate change.
1. How much the fact that climate has changed would materially effect how we live, how our infrastructure functions, etc. This is quantifiable. We know, or at least can develop methods for predicting, how much impact of this kind there will be for a given amount and type of climate change.
2. The impact of how we react to it. I suspect one major indirect human reaction to damaging impact of climate change is war. Countries that sees the value of its own farmland and other nature resources reduced as a result of changes to climate will be inclined to attack others to get more nature resources. The effect of this is hard to predict.
