Yeah, I understand that shouldn't have to be the case, but I just want my phone and tablet to work consistently, which the iStuff does (most of the time) and my heavy computing and modding is all done on my Mac.
Yeah, I get that. My dissatisfaction with IOS and Apple in general started when I became interested in starting to develop apps for mobile devices.
Apple: pay $99/year and buy a Mac (at least a grand, closer to two grand for anything portable and suitable for development).
Android: Download a free developer kit that integrates with the IDE I already have.
As much as I wouldn't mind having a nice Macbook Pro, I don't have a couple grand lying around to dabble in app development. :p
I can definitely see where that would be a pain. I think that when my MacBook Pro from 2010 craps out (which it's starting to because the A key on the keyboard doesn't work and the optical drive doesn't burn to blank DVDs any more), then I might just get a PC and Hackintosh it.
Also, this is great: http://theoatmeal.com/comics/apple
Luke: You don't believe in the Force, do you?
Han Solo: Kid, I've flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I've seen a lot of strange stuff, but I've never seen *anything* to make me believe that there's one all-powerful Force controlling everything. 'Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It's all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense.
