Here is a combo I like for the color harmony. An Iochroma with tubular flowers and Verbascum 'Southern Charm'.
I'll put the rest under hide to protect those with a slow system.
Greyia sutherlandii is a somewhat tender shrub that blooms in winter here.
Lachenalia aloides is a little South African bulb that blooms in early spring here.
Kniphofia multiflora is a red hot poker plant whose flowers are very long. Blooms in winter for me.
This obscene cactus flower is built to double a woman's pleasure.
One of my favorite passion flowers, P. membranacea. Can cover entire trees in a couple of seasons. I cut it back hard every other year.
My favorite abutilon never stops blooming and usually has hundreds open at a time.
In the background the tall shiny cacti are the ones that sexy flower was growing on. This one shows the huge size of an Aeonium flower on a cultivar called 'Cyclops'.
