Adam and Eve before the fall were immortal. Once the ate the forbidden fruit, their imortal lives ended. They died. Perhaps in a spiritual sense as well, but their physical immortality their life up to that point ended.
That is not scriptural or logical.
If immortal, why was the tree of life there?
Who was it for? Not the animals or they would have ate of it.
God is also not shown as taking away their immortality. Get the quote if you have one. He is seen as locking away the tree of life and effectively murdering A & E by intentional neglect and abuse.
You say (perhaps) died in a spiritual way. Don't you know?
I think that they were spiritually fine and so does God when he says they became like him and developed a moral sense.
Would you not eat as well or would you deny yourself a moral sense to the point of stupidly not knowing you are naked and not being able to reproduce?
