Its a pretty fine slice as to whether money flows north or south, depends which stats you believe. Personally, It doesn't much trouble me either way but if I had to express a preference I'd rather them going off their own way.
Although, they have oil... and our nuclear subs live there so they have WMDs... I bet someone in washington perked up and took an interest. I don't advice any adventurism there
