I think he realizes that if he defined what he was talking about rigorously, he wouldn't be able to be offensive to all of us simultaneously, which is the real reason he's here. If he posted a reasonable defintion, a lot of us might go 'Oh, that's not me he's talking about then', and lose interest. And lost interest is lost attention.

An actual example of a militant atheist would be Stalin and many of his supporters.
We've been so inoffensive and meek in the decades since Stalin's heyday that now 'atheist militancy' is being outspoken in your opinions concerning religion.
You know how it goes: militant religionists bomb things, militant atheists write books and hang out at Starbucks.
I'm not anti-Christian. I'm anti-stupid.
