It's a great game, I'm enjoying it immensely. It has 2 major flaws, no voice coms unless you are already party-ed up, which for a quasi-mmo where you are constantly grouping up with people to beat bosses together, aint ideal… When you can't tell them to not stand somewhere because it spawns really annoying adds… That should have been picked up in beta.
The storyline is threadbare, mass effect this aint. Sure you get lore through 'cards' you earn, but you then gotta go on the web to read those. It could have been done a much better way, even having them available to read in game would have been better. As it was I had little idea why I was shooting what I was shooting, other than that they were trying to shoot us…
As I said it's a fun game to play, just don't expect much by way of a story. The pvp (apart from no coms) is about right. At range: Less health than in halo so you're not unloading entire clips into them, having to reload before you can finish them off, but not like ghost-recon where a scratch to the leg kills you instantly. Melee range is another story. Things don't last long in there. The super-powers system is good, unlike cod it doesn't rely on getting streaks, but it still rewards better play. Some of those 6 class-restricted super powers though need a bit of tweaking, some are leaps and bounds better than others.
Music is phenomenal, what else would you expect from bungie?
