An excuse which carries an implied additional point: "God needs another angel, and he has somehow lost the ability to create them ex nihilo."
Isn't it fun, when bland christian nothings end up containing deeper, unaddressed implications for their religion as a whole?
Y'know, when two hydrogen nuclei fuse to make a helium nucleus, a positron and a neutrino and photon are emitted. There is no new mass/energy since the Big Bang.
Maybe angels are a necessary byproduct of some heavenly process; God can no longer make them ex nihilo.
Skepticism is not a position; it is an approach to claims.
