Differing degrees of rape?

There are certain degrees, but to me rape is rape.

Sex needs to be between consenting adults.

Scenario A&B: Consent was not given. If she's asleep, even if she was apparently previously permissive, that does not mean consent
Scenario C: She's not of age to consent. I understand the circumstances but it's up to him to be careful. If she had a fake ID or something like that, then there are mitigating circumstances.
Scenarios D-F: I will agree that these should be punished very harshly

But, as rexbeccarox says, there are multiple different crimes in all these scenarios, not just rape

Absent further information, A lacks consent and is rape However I can envision relationships where open-ended consent is given because the female finds that sort of scenario arousing. As written, yeah it's rape.

I think it only counts if the person presses charges. If A (Or C for that matter) decide to not press charges, then in hindsight they were okay with it. It all depends on the "victim's" view of the circumstances. The LETTER of the law may say differently, but fuck the police.
