We pray for everybody, fellow christians, non-christians, friends, enemies, ourselves and on and on.Really you can only comment on why YOU personally pray for people. I doubt you honestly know what is going on in every other Christian's head. Though I could be wrong, I'm not sure if you guys got that whole like twin telepathy thing going on or what I haven't been to church in like a decade.
Hey! I just met you... and this is crazy... but I love Satan! Let's kill a baby!
Just sing this to your boss next time you see him and he'll go away. I once told one of my managers at a popular mexican grill I used to work at that, "Oh yes, I feel jesus, I feel him inside of me... thrusting...." and the horrified look on her face was absolutely priceless. However I would never do something like that today in a work setting and I don't suggest you do lol....
You know I am torn on this a little bit. Some part of me really wants to believe that religious people simply mean well when they say this but another part of me thinks that it's their condescending way of saying, "I hope god helps you smarten up and convert.... or else." The former of which is sort of funny and cute in some weird way, but the latter of which pisses me off. I'm not sure if some christians realize how fucking rude they are being when they say certain things. The whole "I'll pray for you" thing isn't necessarily rude in and of itself because I can't be sure of one's intentions while they say it. However some other things that people have said to me are outrageously rude and I honestly doubt they would very much appreciate it if I said some of the things they did but switched around god and magic with facts and science.
All in all, I just try not to let it bother me anymore. Even if they ARE being condescending and rude, that's their insecurity that they have to deal with, and they can live in a fantasy world for as long as they like as far as im concerned. And if you really think that someone is acting with ill intention toward you when they say that, just reply with, "Awwww that's so cute" and proceed to pat them on the head like a cute lil kitten.
“Love is the only bow on Life’s dark cloud. It is the morning and the evening star. It shines upon the babe, and sheds its radiance on the quiet tomb. It is the mother of art, inspirer of poet, patriot and philosopher.
It is the air and light of every heart – builder of every home, kindler of every fire on every hearth. It was the first to dream of immortality. It fills the world with melody – for music is the voice of love.
Love is the magician, the enchanter, that changes worthless things to Joy, and makes royal kings and queens of common clay. It is the perfume of that wondrous flower, the heart, and without that sacred passion, that divine swoon, we are less than beasts; but with it, earth is heaven, and we are gods.” - Robert. G. Ingersoll
