Lets flip the lid so to speak. If a girl starts sucking off a boy thats asleep or drunk, is she a rapist to the same extent if the roles are reversed?
Very few men would make too big of a deal of waking up to a girl sucking him off even if she was detestable to him. It would be extremely rare for it to be date rape. Guys just aren't emotionally damaged in the same way girls are. If a sorority tied me up in their basement and had their way with me and supposing I didn't like any of it, I wouldn't have the social stigma of impurity that a female has. I wouldn't go home and cry and sit for hours in the shower because I wouldn't have been raised with the same level of social stigma.
Remember, women were once thought of as property and merely fertile soil for a man to plant his baby seeds in for thousands of years in the Judeo- christian tradition. Women have been brainwashed that they have to keep their garden pure for just the right farmer. In the same way that many women feel religious society angst after an abortion, they may also feel over-indignant to the physical violation by a partial degree of course.
Why do human beings that only differ by genitalia react so differently to forced sexual intrusion by someone of the opposite sex? (Gay sex brings in other dynamics if the victim is not gay)
I think the damage caused is key to determining the appropriate punishment.
