I found that balance in my life is best brought about by accepting what I cannot change, and changing what I cannot accept.

I don't expect kindness or goodness from the days, I understand that the Universe does not care for me, and still I've made up my mind that they will pry life from my cold dead hands.

It works for me; I'm happy but not blind, realistic but not mordant.
