I hope your are being funny, because that description of how we got different languages, has zero to do with how language form, changes, and become distinct over time. Not to mention that in the myth god worried that having a single language made people too powerful, so he put a stop to that which suggests that a common language would be a very good thing for mankind, just not so great for Yahweh and his angelic host.

No, it's not a misunderstanding. I understand perfectly that you believe without demonstrative evidence. I just find believing without evidence irrational and stupid.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
