RE: Top Ten Horror Movies

... Horror is delicate. It's easy to make it humorous, or to inundate a person in so much "horror" that it becomes blase, or to simply bore by not being engaging enough.
Chilling them to the bone... creating an image that sticks to them... skittering nightmares every time they close their eyes? That's a work of art.
And it's rare that such a gorgeous thing extends for the entire length of a movie (re: inundation). But again... dark humor's so glamorous at the same time.
There are so many other forms of engagement... finding a balance while you can still call it horror is a talent, and it takes time. So many lines erased because they were a tenth of a millimeter off of where they needed to be TT__TT Still, there's something to a burning schoolhouse hazily reflected in glasses that just has to be enjoyed.
At least someone knows what I'm talking about...
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
