Is it really politically correct to say Happy Holidays, or is it just being polite?

Because, as we all know, everyone can tell who is Christian and who isn't just by looking at them. It's their noses that give it away. Cool Shades Damn everyone for saying "Happy holidays!" to obvious Christians!

And, last I checked, Christmas was a holiday. I fail to see how anyone wishing another to have a happy holiday is being rude.

I mean, yeah, I guess it sucks to belong to the most powerful religious entity on the planet. One that by the mere virtue of you identifying as one of the flock grants you a whole shit ton of privilege. I weep for you when those who are trying to be polite don't immediately treat you with deference. I truly, truly do.

Quote:what's more you have taken a day we have adopted to celibrate the birth of Christ, and devalued it. You take the tradition commericialize it and strip all of it's meaning. What other religion can soceity take a sacred day from, takes it's key elements/practices and discard the rest while going through the motions/rituals, and it not be mocked?

What the fuck are you even talking about? "Happy holidays" isn't commercializing Christmas. You want to rage? Why not try Hollywood. Or Disney. Or the diamond/jewelry cartels. Or the various toy companies. Many of which are run by your fellow Christians.

And I'm sure you march yourself right to Walmart to buy gifts just like everyone else.

Quote:You not being polite. You are making a political statement that devaules a very specific religion and those who believe or want to set apart december 25 as being the day Christ was born.

Hey, guess what? Christ wasn't born in winter. December 25th was hijacked from Roman pagan beliefs. So, your "abloobloo, why won't anyone keep December 25th holy?" rant has no legs to stand on anyway. Much like the rest of your religion. Wink Shades
