Is it really politically correct to say Happy Holidays, or is it just being polite?

RE: Is it really politically correct to say Happy Holidays, or is it just being polite?
Prior to Christmas, I wish people 'season's greetings' or 'happy holidays'. On Christmas Day - and ONLY on Christmas Day - I wish people 'Happy Christmas'. Christians make such a pestiferous stink over their imagined 'war on Christmas', I consider it a public service to remind them that Christmas is ONE day.

It's either that, or I'm going to start wishing everyone 'Happy Christmachanuakwaanzakamas' and let them sort the fucking thing out.
