Before getting in 12 Steppers I was experiencing debilitating and abrupt mood swings from alcohol. It was very unpleasant, but it stopped abruptly with my starting sobriety. I always thought it was weird, but of being all the way 'up' or all the way 'down', I preferred 'down'. Transitioning either way was horrible, but didn't take too long. Unfortunately, it happened all day long.
