Politically...I think we are in one of those 100 year flood situations. X has moved much more closer to 0. Because of happenstance, it is simply inevitable that occasionally X will be close to 0. No, it is how your party works. Democrats don't go out of their way to make your party look good. But they would never balk at voting for what they perceive as being in the country's best interest just because the republicans were supporting it. Only your party is that corrupt.
By the way, I don't disagree with DP's thesis. Their opposition to the democratic party gets expressed the way it does because they are racist sons of bitches. It just isn't the reason they'd rather blow the country up than see anything good happen with the democrats in the majority.
