Wow, I didn't know that one. But then, Leviticus is such a shit fest, it's easy to miss.
What's hilarious is that a few chapters before that, god tells Moses to specifically spread the word that neither the deaf nor blind should be ridiculed/have obstacles placed before them. So, pulling a Nelson Muntz is definitely not okay.
But god doesn't want to look at the disabled. He prefers they enter through the back door (heeeeyoooo
) so as to not disturb the normals from offering their sweet, sweet blood sacrifices.
