If I understand correctly, racism-to them- means that one race wants all the power. In the US, white people have most of the power so therefore, minorities can't be racist but they can be prejudiced.
Most people(myself included) define racism to mean that you believe your race is superior to another.
People can't just re-define a complex issue like racism and declare themselves not racist. Concepts aren't defined by simple declaration.
Racism isn't just about beliefs. Our thoughts and actions can also be racist, and we need to recognize that much of the racial tension we feel is our inability to fundamentally understand the issue.
