As I use to say as a former catholic: It's probably not a good idea to leave your child alone with a catholic priest, but you can entrust these priests with the launch button of nuclear devices. I wouldn't put the same trust in an evangelical pastor.
I watched The West Wing till the fourth season, and it always pissed me off that the President consults his Catholic Priest in the Oval office in times of crises. Especially in the death penalty episode where the priest is on the right side of the issue for once but still gives blessings.
