When I was a kid growing up in the 80's, I really did not like my age peers. Especially their music taste, which included hair rock for guys and Paula Abdul and others for girls. I liked their parents and thought they were really cool. To that end, I discovered new age and smooth jazz, which was aired on the local station KIFM. Stuff like Kenny G and Ray Lynch and others.
