Which makes me think that the reason for the continuing attempts at figuring out a date is that the followers have become tired of waiting. It's like people waiting at the bus stop who keep taking a look down the road, as if they can will the bus into appearing. And since the Bible --like a lot of books-- has many numbers scattered throughout, there is no end to the ways you can manipulate those numbers to select a date not far from the present. And if nothing happens on the date in question, you just grab a few more numbers and start the game all over again.
So far, the number of predictions that have been correct is zero. And this is in spite of what may be hundreds (if not thousands) of such predictions over the past several hundred years. But if there's anything you learn from religious people, it's that being wrong doesn't even slow them down.

Even so, if it plays out to where a blind deaf and dumb monkey can see what is going on, know that the tribulation is there to help those people who wanted "proof" all these years, with all the "proof" you can stand, and then some. Also know the great tribulation is to shake the last of the fruit loose from the tree that will be gathered up.
Meaning if it is as most of you say, that you need God to provide definitive proof, then you will have it. Just think. That if this did not happen before you died, the. You will have been lost for all eternity. But for you God does what he did for the captive jews in Egypt. After the ten plagues do you think anyone did not believe in the God of moses? No they all believed.
Now if proff is correct we all get to share a unique moment in time where you finally get what you have been supposedly A/S/K for..
"If"?
"Well, evolution is a theory. It is also a fact. And facts and theories are different things, not rungs in a hierarchy of increasing certainty. Facts are the world's data. Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."
