I have nothing really to add, just a couple of clarifications.
Regarding trolling, what m'colleague said is quite correct and precisely what we take into account when deliberating such reports. There is one more thing that trolling is not and that is someone disagreeing with you or correcting something, at face value anyway. To formally accuse someone of trolling under such circumstances is the equivalent of the youtube false DMCA claims a few years back and is an abuse of the report system. Expect a slap.
Regarding ignore lists, we've been cutting folk slack on the assumption that many cases stem from the days before new Staff members were Modified (ie I was on your list yesterday, today I got promoted to Mod, I'm still on your list because nobody has taken me off it). If that applies to you, then you're in the clear. In fact, it would be helpful if you revised your own ignore list accordingly; saves us having to do it ad hoc.
As for Quoting Large Posts, pretty please with sugar sprinkles get it right. For my sanity's sake if nothing else.

At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist. This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair. Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second. That means there's a situation vacant.'
