I'd enact the mythology of Parliament/Pfunk. Starchild would be the messiah, disciple of Dr. Funkenstein, who comes to Earth to reveal the secrets of the pyramids. Sir Nose D’Voidoffunk will rise to oppose him, trying to trap humanity in the Zone of Zero Funkativity. This will cause Starchild to reveal his ultimate teaching - the BopGun, which instantly move anyone to pure Funkentelechy. As a sign of the times, Atlantis will rise, and it's hero Mr. Wiggles will join with Starchild in the fight against the Placebo Syndrome. In the end, the MaggotBrains will be defeated, and the free nation of Funkadelica will be born.

It a helluva lot cooler than the Subgenius, but same principle.
