Genesis 3:19 makes it pretty clear that death was given to humans for the "sin" of eating an apple.
It was for the "sin" of eating from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Or in other words for being moral as apposed to amoral.
If there is a god, I want to believe that there is a god. If there is not a god, I want to believe that there is no god.
