At first glance I think it sounds like a good idea, but would require changes at the polls on the state level in order to accommodate the additional voters. I don’t think people should be required to vote for a candidate though so a none option on the ballots would be necessary.
I don't vote as a matter of principle though. No candidate represents my interests adequately. Also Australia and some other countries have this and I believe they still have plenty of lobbyists. Obama is always so full of shit when he talks about campaign finance and getting money of politics. He's gotten more money than any candidate in history. More than Bush and Romney put together.

So put regulation in place requiring candidates to only speak of themselves and their stance on the important issues. Attack ads/disparaging comments/any mention of your rivals would be strictly prohibited.
That'll never work anyway. It'll just drive all of that into PACs and private groups who would do all the shit talking for them. Plus remember the 1st amendment?
You want money out of politics? Make it so politicians have nothing to offer businesses. No tax loopholes, no corporate subsidies, zip. If you got rid of that businesses would have no incentive

Bush looks like an idiot no matter who you compare him to.
