And how often were the "rules" obeyed while you were charged with enforcing them, in Bosnia?
Actually in the area where my unit was camped, we didn't have a whole lot of interaction with the locals, just guarded an specified area along with Russian and Swedish troops adjacent to us. Although sometimes you could hear a full scale battle going on, nothing happened in our area.
The funny thing is, I knew this Yugoslavian refugee girl in high school, to make a long story short, I remember having a discussion on the bus about her country, and she was asking why the U.S. wouldn't send aid. Smash cut a few years later I'm in her country on a peace keeping mission.
Always thought that was odd.
(I also have a story about bald faced lying Hillary Clinton! maybe some other time)
