Tango recently lost his left eye due to glaucoma. He was blind in that eye when we got him but the pressure just kept building and the eye had to come out. He's fully recovered now. I'm tempted to get him an eye-patch and a parrot.
My old Cyndy lived for another 18 months after being diagnosed with a tumor. I had a very able and nice vet, who did her utmost to keep her alive and also ensured that she had an enjoable life by medicating just in the right measure. She pushed 14 when she finally died, which is a very respectable age for a dog. It still hit me hard when I lost her.
