Don't forget about slavery and the need to tell us what animals are not allowed to be eaten.
Heh.. just out of curiosity I did a google search on the term "God is a Narcissist" and got this:
About 1,410,000 results (0.41 seconds)
Whether or not every single link is relevant (because we all know how google works), I don't know. I don't that that much time to look at every single link. But what I do know is that apparently it says a lot about the subject.
The first link is this:

That settles it then.

Quote:Short answer: yes. Long answer: yes. Confused? You shouldn’t be, it doesn’t get much clearer than that.
The idea of sociopathy is defunct now. The term has been replaced by ‘antisocial behavioural disorder’ (I told you, I live with a psychiatrist). The disorder is characterised by a disregard of the rights, feelings and wellbeing of others. If you know a sociopath (I am going to continue using the term sociopath because it is shorter than ‘personal with an antisocial behavioural disorder’) then to them you have no moral worth, and may only be recognised in terms of how you can be a resource to them. The disorder manifests as disregard for others, either through deceit, lying, aggression, irresponsible behaviour and then being remorseless about it. It also manifests as not conforming to social norms or laws.
How does God fare against these criteria? Floods, plagues, the burning of Sodom, the arbitrary conditions for avoiding Hell, and still claiming to be all loving fits the manifestations pretty well. He has killed millions, just in the Book(s) He’s asked us to publish in His name; He’s punished first-born sons instead of the criminals; He’s commanded His followers to destroy entire races to eradicate a few sinners; He’s abandoned His own people; He’s wiped out the entire planet (bar a few) like He was hitting a reset button on an XBox for His own convenience. Outside of His Book He has sent hurricane and tsunami and flood and drought. Theoretically, in the minds of believers, He has and is burning countless unbelievers for no particular crime; no reason except the fact it makes Him feel better to burn people who don’t believe in Him.
Narcissism is used to describe the behaviour of gaining satisfaction from vain or egotistical endeavours. And for this, I want to consider the requirements for avoiding Hell. We must worship God. Our moral endeavours are redundant. God perceives Himself as perfect and demands the same criteria from us. He fails to give any leniency and readily burns us for not worshipping Him. God is jealous and does not permit us to have any other Gods or to reason, on the evidence presented, that He does not exist. Unbelief is an extreme crime, in His eyes. The one thing we need to do to avoid Hell is to worship Him as if He is morally perfect. He asks us to celebrate His narcissism.
Yes, God is a narcissistic sociopath.
That settles it then.
